Masterclass Global Health 1 - Global = Local (23 August 2017)

This first Masterclasses on will be on 'Global Health in Rotterdam by Professor Lex Burdorf and Professor Semiha Denktas.

Lex Burdorf is Professor in Determinants of Public Health at Erasmus MC. Semiha Denktas studies environmental, personal, and behavioural characteristics to explain why and how behaviours change, with a focus on vulnerable groups in society.

Together they will discuss determinants of health inequalities in Rotterdam, a city with more than 170 ethnicities represented. They will also discuss Rotterdam's and Erasmus University's recently announced joint response 'Rotterdam Vitale Stad' to tackle these health inequalities.
